In years past the employees at MR Label Co. would purchase a Christmas present for Pat Sr. and Carol Meehan, or make a donation in their name to their favorite foundation. Last year however, a new tradition was started. One in which really gets the holiday vibes pumping throughout our buildings. Even the pressmen take part. The new tradition is adopting two families from a local church and buying presents for all of the family members.
All of us at MR Label Co. are fortunate enough to have a stable job and a roof over our head. There are many individuals and families in this world that cannot share in these same fortunes, and might not have a home to call their own. I am sure each and every one of us, regardless of economic stature or educational background has something to be grateful for. It could be the family and friends you have met over the years and have shared precious memories with. Or it could be a specific moment in your life that has warmed your heart, and will forever remain in your memory.
By adopting these two families, the MR Label Co. employees were able to come together and work as a team to gather and coordinate gifts. Special memories were shared amongst each other, such as discussions about receiving their first bicycle or doll house. (These were some of the items on our list this year, amongst others.) Stories about family traditions, and favorite holiday dishes were also exchanged.
Being the small family business that we are, we understand the meaning behind lending a hand to another “family” in a time of need. We hope that by sharing some of our fortunes with these two families, we can help create special memories that put a sparkle in their eyes Christmas morning. We hope that our families enjoy their presents, as much as we enjoyed shopping for them! I know we all look forward to continuing the tradition and extending a small gesture to others.
MR Label Co. will be closed on December 24th and 25th, so that our employees can spend time and create cherished memories with their family, friends, and loved ones. We will also be closed December31st and January 1st. We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season.
